The first step towards the realization of the actions included in Turkey’s 2020-2023 National Smart Cities Strategy and Action Plan has been taken.
In this context, AsisCT won the tender organized by the General Directorate of Geographical Information Systems to develop capacity on smart cities. AsisCT, which produces solutions for smart city technologies in Turkey and abroad, will prepare more than 50 technical reports and training documents with local and foreign consultants for a year and will guide local governments to become smart cities. One of the most important outcomes of the project will be the establishment of a common roadmap for smart cities in front of local governments in all 81 cities, and local governments will now speak the same language. The specifications will pave the way for local producers and reduce foreign dependency.
Important smart city applications such as smart intersections, parking lot systems, renewable energy, irrigation, water loss and leakage monitoring systems, lighting, waste collection and building systems will be realized in accordance with the technical specifications to be prepared by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
