In 81 provinces, the “Smart Cities Capacity Building and Guidance Project”, which consists of the smart cities roadmap prepared to implement the ‘National Smart Cities Strategy and Action Plan’, was completed by Asis Elektronik, the contractor of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change between 2020-2021.
Within the scope of the “Smart Cities Capacity Building and Guidance Project” carried out under the auspices of the Directorate of Geographical Information Systems of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of the Republic of Turkey, the activities organized for public institutions and organizations as well as municipalities have been completed.
In this context, more than 100 project teams and 18 workshops were formed, 110 reports, 81 presentations, 76 videos and 3 administrative reports were prepared. More than two thousand people participated in 18 workshops organized under the guidance of ASİS Elektronik in order to realize the actions included in the 2020-2023 National Smart Cities Strategy and Action Plan, to prepare smart city solutions, local smart city strategy and road map. 58 training booklets, training presentations and training videos were prepared throughout the year, and many files such as smart city world examples booklet, technology review report, application guidance document were prepared and road maps were prepared for the smart cities action plan that continues in 81 provinces. Files such as smart cities terminology report, smart cities dictionary, reference smart cities architecture were important reference documents for the sector. The work of more than 100 teams enabled cities to take great steps towards becoming smart.
